Hey guys! Hope you all had a great Christmas! I'm so happy cause my family got me a new laptop!!! This should definately make running this blog easier for me. I had been borrowing a super slow laptop for the past few months since mine broke! Now that I have my new laptop I'm hoping to improve my blog layout soon so stay tuned. Now on to the nails! To celebrate this New Year's I wanted to make a fun, glittery star-filled party on my nails! I started by painting my base half metallic silver & half chrome pink. Then I added a coat of some fun glitter polish that my mother got me for Christmas! Then I Konaded on some starry designs using a couple of my bundle monster plates & there you have it! I think they came out really cute, but I had a hard time capturing all the detail with my camera due to the shiny & glittery polishes I used. Anyways, hope you like! HAVE A SAFE, HEALTHY & HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! God Bless! : )

Rudolph's Christmas Mani

Hey guys, just wanted to show you another Christmas design I did. First I painted a white base, then I painted on red tips & then Konaded a design on the tips using Konad White Special Polish. I painted a glittery silver stripe at the base of the tips & then added some reindeer water decals. This design isn't really my style, but I wanted to try something different. Anyways, I hope you all have a safe, happy & healthy holiday! MERRY CHRISTMAS & GOD BLESS!!! : )

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas Nails! - "christmas nail art" "christmas nails" "holiday nail art" "holiday nails" "christian nail art" "cross nail art" "red and white nail art" "pretty nail art"

Hey guys! Hope all is well! With Christmas right around the corner I felt it's about that time to get my nails into the Christmas spirit so I finally decorated my nails & then my Christmas tree! Now I'm officially ready for Christmas! I used multiple plates with this design, mostly bundle monster plates. This is my first Christmas design ever so I hope you like!

GLiTTeRaTTi - Glitter Ombre Nails with Konad Design

Hey guys! Here's my very glittery ombre konadicure! I used a pink chrome shade as a base color, then I added my glitter polishes, fading out from a silver glitter polish to a pink glitter polish & then konaded on my design. Very glitterful! As you can imagine, this was a pain to remove, lol. Anyways, hope you like!

Autumn Nail Art Design - "purple and gold nail art" "purple and gold nails" "purple and gold" "nail designs" "autumn nail art" "fall nail art" "leaves nail art" "nail designs with leaves"

Hey guys! Today I'm gonna share with you an autumn design I did featuring a nail stamp plate from Bundle Monster. For those who don't know, bundle monster plates are basically fauxnad Konad plates. They're actually a lot cheaper than Konad plates and work just the same. Some of the plates actually feature some of the same designs that Konad offers. It's a great way to build up your plate collection, especially when you're on a budget. Overall I am happy with these plates but I'd haf to say one of the main differences between the two are that the Bundle Monster full nail and french tip designs are smaller than Konad's. I wish they were bigger, but you can still get the job done. Also, the edges of the plates are a little sharp, so just be careful...Overall though, I think it's a good deal & I'm excited to explore these plates cause I haven't done many designs with these plates yet, but I intend to. Just thought I'd share that since this is my first post featuring a Bundle Monster Plate. Also, I ran low on my Konad Black Special Polish so for this mani I stamped with Rimmel London Black Satin which worked pretty good! I added the black dots with my dotting tool. I just have to say that this design looks a lot nicer in person than it does in the pics. Anyways, hope you likey! HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! Gobble, gobble! : )

My First Konad Pedi!

Hey guys! Just wanted to share with you my first Konad Pedicure! Normally I leave the nail art to my fingernails & paint my toes one solid color but a recent fall themed konad pedicure contest prompted me to do this design on my toes. I thought it was gonna be pretty easy to Konad my toes, but I actually found it harder than when I do my nails! Lol, idk, maybe I just gotta get used to it! I plan to start doing some more pedicure designs & I'll be sure to share them as I go along! Have a great weekend! : )

Pink and White Zebra Print Konad Nail Art Stamping Design

Hey everyone! Time for another KOTD! I must admit I did not come up with the design idea for this. I've actually seen it quite a few times online from a couple different people. Not sure who originally came up with this but I absolutely LOVE IT and had to recreate it! I did this back in August, it's the design I rocked when I went to Florida. These pics were taken after I spent a few days on the beach, I think they held up pretty nicely. Oh how this makes me miss the beach, lol!  I can definately see me doing this design again, maybe I'll experiment with some different colors next time. Isn't it cute!?

Red Hot Nail Art Design

Hey everyone! Hope all is well & welcome to my new followers! At first I wasn't sure which of my designs I was gonna choose for my next post, but now I find it to be most appropriate that it be this "Red Hot" design because I recently entered it in Simply Rin's "Color It Red" Nail Art Contest & I just found out lastnight that I am one of the 5 finalists!!! I'm super excited about this! This is the first nail art contest I have ever entered so it really means alot to me! It would be awesome to win, but even if I don't I am still sooo happy I made it to the Top 5! I thank all who voted for me along with Simply Rins for such an awesome contest! Voting is now over & it's all up to Rin's judges to choose the winner but if you'd like to see the rest of the finalists, click here. (btw, sooo bummed I broke my right ring fingernail shortly before I did this NOTD, waaah, I like for all my nails to be the same length, but I couldn't bring myself to cut all the others short, lol, guess it's the price I pay for going au naturel).

M53 - Konad White SP, Wn'W Red Red & Kiss Nail Art Paint in Black
UPDATE: Didn't win. According to the judges scoring, I came in second place. Ugh, soo close! Lol, oh well, thank u all for your support, it means alot!

Hey everyone! Have you heard of Barry M. Instant Nail Effects Polish? It's new, from Barry M. Cosmetics. The company is based out of the UK so I'm not sure where or even if it's available anywhere else. I purchased mine off of ebay, straight from the UK. You can also get it from the Barry M. Cosmetics website. How it works is you apply any base color you like, let your nails dry, then apply the Instant Nail Effects polish & watch your unique design appear before your eyes! When you first apply the polish, it comes on like black polish, but then it quickly begins to break up & crack, creating a unique effect. I think it's pretty cool! And it's great for a day when you wanna quickly dress up your nails but don't have the time to manually do a design of your own!
When using, you only apply one coat & do not overlap. Also, the size of the cracks depend alot on how thick you apply your coat. If you apply a thick coat, there won't be as many cracks & the cracks will be larger & chunkier. If you apply a thin coat, the cracks will be smaller. This was my first time trying out the polish & I wasn't very consistant with how thick I applied the coats. You can see the difference in the nails & how some of them have kind of a blocky effect & others have more of a cracked effect. I took some pics as I was doing my nails to capture the experience!
BSN Matte Sky & Purps Pop w/Barry M. Instant Nail Effects
My Overall Review: I think this product is actually pretty cool! It lives up to it's name in that it does exactly what it says it does = Instant Nail Effects! I like how you can watch the cracking effect take place right before your eyes & you don't have to wait long either, the process is rather quick! It gives off a nice matte black finish & dried quickly. I had no problem applying a top coat & I didn't experience any smudging or smearing. I even received a few compliments, one lady even asked where I got my nails done! I love when that happens, lol. Little do they know, this design required no more effort than applying a coat of polish!!! I'm excited to experiment with this product some more & will definately post my creations for you all to see! I really hope this product becomes available in the US though, because the UK conversion rate along with the international shipping costs make this product a little too steep for me, it cost me $13.78 for a 10ml bottle. A little more than I'd like to spend on polish, even if it does have effects, sorry, but I'm on a budget, lol.

Breast Cancer Awareness French Manicure - Breast Cancer Awareness French Tips, Breast Cancer Awareness Nail Art, Pink Ribbon Nail Art, Pink Ribbon French Tips, Pink Ribbon Nail Decals, Think Pink French Tips

Hey all, since today is the last day of October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) I decided to post another "Think Pink" Design since I think this is such an important issue. This time I did something a little more simple, it's just a basic french mani with some pink ribbon nail decals. I meant to post these up sooner, but I was actually waiting on some pink ribbon rhinestone decals that I had ordered. I was planning to add them to the thumb & ring fingernails. Sadly they didn't get here in time so I'm just gonna post up the design I have as is.

French Tips!

Hey, just a quick post! This is the first time I ever did a french manicure so I wanted to show it off. I took this pic before I cleaned the sides off cause I wasn't done with this mani yet. After this pic, I decorated it a little & I will show that off in my next post, but for now just wanted to show off my basic french tips attempt.

Metallic Pink and Silver KOTD

Hey everyone! Here's a quick kotd! This is actually the first kotd I did without using Konad special polish. I used Sinful Colors Secret Admirer which is a glittery dark gray polish, it worked pretty well. I think this konadicure looks better in person than in the pics but since the base coats I used were both very metallic they didn't photograph that well cause of all that shine. I tried taking a pic without the flash but it didn't come out too well, but you get the idea! Anyways, hope u like, have a great day! : )

Paisley and Rhinestones Nail Art

Hey! It's been a couple days since I posted a new design, was busy making a new header for my blog, lol. Hope you likey, I'm finally gettin the hang of photoshop! haha... I also want to say welcome to my new followers!!! Ok, now on to the nails...this next design I got to play with my new rhinestone wheel, yey! Fyi, you can get rhinestone wheels for a really cheap price on ebay! I'm talkin around like $2! And there's lots of different wheels to choose from so whatever shape, color or size rhinestone you're looking for, you'll probably be able to find it there! I bought 3 wheels so far, I will post a pic of them in the next couple days so you can see what they look like. Anyways, here's my design for today:

Fun Swirl Pattern Konad Nail Art Stamping Design - "Konad Nail Art" "Konad M63" "nail art" "Purple and White Nail Art" "Black and White Nail Art" "Iridescent Nail Art" "urban nail art" "easy nail designs" "easy nail art" "hot nail art" "hot nail designs" "Funky Nail Art" "Fun Nail Art Design"

I really like how this mani came out. I absolutely love this pattern! As for the colors, I used konad white special polish over a dark glittery purple basecoat, but they came out looking more like black & white. It all depends on how the light hits them.

M63 - Konad White Special Polish & Wn'W Night Prowl

In this second pic, I took the same manicure & decided to experiment a bit with this new iridescent shade I bought, Sinful Color's You Just Wait. As you can see, it gives off a sheer yellow iridescent shine & depending on how the light hits it, it could sometimes even look greenish. In the bottle, the shade looks more like a sheer shimmery baby pink with yellow pearl-like shine, but on the nails the yellow was much more apparent than pink. Overall though, it gave a nice effect, which one do you like better?

Same as above with Sinful Colors You Just Wait

Purple & White Konad Design - M74

This design is from plate M74. I don't really like how this particular konadicure came out, but wanted to post it anyway to show an example of how this pattern from plate M74 looks.

Purple Ombre Konad Nail Art Stamping Design - Purple Ombre Nails, Flower Nails, Floral Nail Art, Purple Floral Nail Art, Purple and White Nail Art, Easy Flower Nail Art, Konad M57

Hey guys! This is an older design I did. For the base I did a gradient effect using an eyeshadow applicator & sponging from light to dark purple. I used a light, medium & dark purple to create the fade effect, but I can't remember which exact polishes I used for this, sorry. I do know they weren't opaque, they were all shimmery polishes. After the base dried I konaded on my white flowers. I think this design would be cuter with some clear rhinestones added to the center of the flowers, not sure why I didn't do that, I'm guessing I didn't have my rhinestone wheel at the time I did these.

Glittery Purple Nails with Flowers Nail Art Design - Purple Nails, Purple and White Nail Art, Floral Nail Art, Flower Nail Art, Girly Nail Art, Glittery Nail Art, Sparkling Nail Art Design, Konad M53 M63 M81

For this design I applied a purple base coat followed by a purple glitter polish. I used multiple images from plates M53, M63 & M81 to create this look. I then added some purple rhinestones to the flowers. Btw, these nails are very glittery, the pictures don't truly capture how glittery they are.

Helpful Tips & Tricks for Konad

Here's a list of some helpful tips & tricks for Konading:

* Konading can be a little messy, so cover your work area with some paper towels or something, I use an old game board to protect my work surface
* You should paint a clear top coat over your base coat before applying Konad so that if you make a mistake it will be easier to fix without messing up your base coat
* Wipe image plate & stamp with acetone nail polish remover after each use. You should also occasionally wipe off your scraper because the polish builds on it which makes it hard to properly scrape
* Work quickly! Otherwise, the image may not transfer properly due to the polish drying
* Use a "rolling" motion when using the stamp to pick up the design from the image plate & also when stamping the design onto your nail
* If you make a mistake, quickly dab a q-tip in nail polish remover & remove the mistake
* If you have trouble getting the image to transfer from the image plate to the stamp, try lightly buffing the stamp surface with a nail file, this should do the trick! The first time I tried Konad I was so frustrated because I did not know this & had the hardest time getting the image to adhere to the stamp, after I lightly filed my stamp it worked just fine
* When you are finished Konading apply a top coat. You should let the design dry first. Apply the top coat quickly & try not to go over the image more than twice as you don't want the design to smear. Konad makes a special top coat designed to use with Konading, but in my experience there are some regular top coats that work just as well

What is Konad?

I just wanna do this post for anyone who doesn't know what Konad is cause I do a lot of Konad designs. It's a nail art kit used to put designs on your nails with the use of a stamp and pre-designed image plates. I'm not a distributor but there are a few websites to purchase Konad from so I suggest just googleing it. The basics you need to perform a Konadicure (Konad manicure) are a stamp, an image plate & Konad special polish. You will also need something you can use to scrape access polish off your image plate with. You can either purchase one of their scrapers or just use an old library card or something like that (make sure it's something you don't mind getting nail polish all over).

Here are the basic steps on how to Konad: Choose a design from the image plate that you'd like to use. (There are several plates to choose from that consist of all types of images & designs; each individual plate has a few different designs inscribed in it). Apply some Konad special polish onto the image plate over the design you choose to use. Scrape the access polish off with your scraper. Now take your stamper and roll it over the design, the image should transfer to the stamp. Then take the stamp and roll it over your nail in the spot where you would like for the image to be. Poof! Now the image should be on you nail! Sounds simple enough, right!? Well...maybe not always, lol, my first time didn't go that well so if you're new to Konad & having trouble, don't worry, there are some tips & tricks that will help. Check out  "Helpful Tips for Konad".
Btw, the Konad special polish is polish that is specially formulated to work with the image plates, it's thicker than normal nail polish. You're not suppose to paint your nails with the special polish cause it won't dry, it's only to be used with the image plates. You can also try Konading with regular nail polish, some work, some don't, you just gotta experiment. I will try to post a list of some regular nail polishes that are known to work with Konad. Ok, well that about wraps it up for now! Take care! : )
