Christmas is almost here & so I wanted to show you my newest & final Christmas mani for this year! Lately I have been experimenting with different French Tip designs (I haven't posted any yet but they're coming), so with Christmas only a few days away I decided to do some Christmas Tips! First I painted my tips red, then K onaded on some white poinsettias & then added some stripes with my Kiss Nail Art Paint in White & Silver. I also added some dots with my Kiss Nail Art Pen. Hey guys! This is a simple design to do, I just painted my base a nude tone (which is optional), then painted my tips white & stamped konad plate M57's zebra pattern over the white & added a glittery silver stripe with my Silver Kiss Nail Art Paint. Hey guys! This is a design I pulled from my archives, I call it Purple Purrfection because of the kitty featured on my ring finger! This is a rather simple design to do featuring multiple konad plates. First I painted on my purple base color, then I stamped a full nail pattern from Konad plate M60 on to each nail, applying in a diagonal direction across only half the nail. In the upper corner area where there was no pattern I chose different random images to stamp on to each nail. Then I took my Silver nail art paint & painted a diagonal line right across my nail, dividing the pattern from the images. That really completed the look & added a nice sparkle to it. Hi everyone! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so it's time to pink it up!!! I know, I know, October is almost over, I meant to post this sooner but I've been a little busy, but it's better late than never! Besides this is an important cause that should be remembered all year round because unfortunately it affects so many women. Ladies, remember to be aware, educate yourselves, learn the symptoms, know your body, do self breast exams every month & see a doctor asap if you notice anything abnormal! Since there's no real way to prevent breast cancer it's important to stay on top of things because early detection can help! My thoughts & prayers go out to all those affected by Breast Cancer. Hey guys, I'm a little late with this post but September is PCOS & Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) is a condition that affects 10-15% of women, it is the leading cause of Infertility and can cause other conditions such as Diabetes & Heart problems to name a few. I did these nails to bring awareness to this condition as it is something that does not get much attention but can be very depressing and difficult for women that have it. This design is also to support Ovarian Cancer Awareness. Ovarian Cancer is a very serious condition that can be fatal. It's so important to educate yourselves and know the symptoms aswell as bring awareness so that oneday perhaps there will be a cure! The teal ribbon is the symbol for both of these causes & this design is dedicated to bring awareness for both causes & my prayers go out to all the women affected by these conditions. Today marks the 10 year anniversary of the sad terrible tragedy that struck 9/11. This tragedy especially hits close to home because I am from NY. I wanted to do a special patriotic design for this day to show American pride and that "United We Stand". I named them Freedom nails after the Freedom Tower that is being built at Ground Zero. Hey guys, this is just a quick post to show you a design I did featuring a regular silver nail polish that works great with stamping because the Konad Silver special polish is horrible! I've heard China Glaze has some nice ones that work but I was looking for a cheaper alternative, lol. The polish I used is Pure Ice Silver Mercedes, I actually saw someone mention that it was a good silver for stamping & since then I kept my eyes out for it & finally found it at Walmart. Please excuse the picture quality but I didn't have my new camera yet & took this with my cell, plus the polishes I used were very shiney so this design didn't photo very well. It looks better in person but you get the idea, lol...Btw, after I took the pics I tried the new Wet N'Wild quick dry top coat over it & it completely smeared the design, ruining it so I don't recommend using that top coat with Konading. I am constantly trying out different top coats ...

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I did a post, been a little busy, hope all is well with everyone. For this design I did a gradient effect by first patting on a white polish base with an eyeshadow sponge applicator. (The sponge applicator really helps to create a nice gradient effect; it's an easy way to fade colors into one another to create an almost airbrushed look. A makeup sponge could also be used.) I then patted on silver polish diagonally across the nail with the sponge & then patted on pink polish diagonally, going the opposite direction as the silver so that the silver & pink criss-cross each other right at the center of the nail. (It's ok if some of the white base shows, it adds to the effect.) Then I took a very light glittery silver shade & patted a very small amount right in the center of the nail where the silver & pink polishes meet to create a more blended & highlighted effect. This is a full nail pattern but didn't quite fit my nails properly so instead of stamping on the full pattern in one stamp I stamped half the pattern on one side of my nail & then stamped on the other half of the design on the other half of my nail. So I received the new Bundle Monster plate set a couple weeks ago, I meant to post this sooner but as I've mentioned in previous posts, my digital camera broke so that has slowed things down for me. Hopefully I will get one soon & get back on track. Anyways, I got my new plate set which I had won in a Bundle Monster nail art contest & I really like them. I now own both the old set & the new set and it's great to see that Bundle Monster has made some improvements to their new plate set! Here are some of the new features: * These plates have all new image patterns.  * The plate edges are smoother, much less sharp than the old set. * The plates still have a protective film that you must remove before your first use, but the film is blue so it's easy to see unlike the old set's transparant film. Hey guys, sorry for the lack in posts but my digital camera broke and I still haven't gotten a new one! I'm having trouble finding one I love as much as my last one so I haven't been able to capture my latest nail creations. I pulled this design from my archives or as I like to say my nail "art-chives", lol. I thought this flowery design would be a nice appropriate look to post in celebration of this upcoming Mother's Day! I used bundle monster plate BM16 & then I added some rhinestones & glitter polish. The glitter doesn't really pick up in the pictures but it's there, lol. Hope you like! ...Btw, if anyone has any good suggestions on digital cameras that work well with capturing detailed nail art, I would love to hear them! This is just a quick post to wish you all a Happy Easter & to share with you my Easter themed KOTD! The design didn't come out exactly how I wanted, this was my first time using Konad Special Polish in Pastel Purple & the color did not come out as vivid as I would have liked. Perhaps it works better on darker shades, but over the pastel yellow base I used it is very faint. Also, my digital camera broke, ugh, so I had to borrow another camera & I don't really like how the pics came out. Hopefully I'll be able to get a new camera soon! Hey guys! So I broke one of my nails really bad the other day (hate when that happens) so I didn't feel like putting much effort into doing a new design because of that.     Hey guys! Welcome to my new & improved page! I finally stopped procastinating and gave My Pretty Nailz a makeover!!! Do you likey? Hope so!!!     Now on to the nails! For this next design I wanted to create somewhat of an airbrushed look, with one color gradually fading into another. To do this I used eyeshadow sponge applicators to make a nice gradient effect. First I applied some white polish to a clean applicator and simply patted the color on to my entire nail. I did this to each nail. Then I took my blue polish (the colors I used are listed below) and applied some to the applicator and patted it in a diagonal line across my nail starting from the lower corner going across to the opposite upper corner. (It doesn't have to be perfect) Then I took my pink polish & patted it on just as I did the blue except I had the pink going in the opposite direction as the blue so the colors...

Sorry it's been a while since I posted a new design, been a little busy plus I broke a couple nails, grrr, I hate when my nails are uneven length! Lol. Anyways, this is a quick random design I did a couple months ago with my striper polishes & dotting tools over a chrome basecoat. It was pretty simple to do, not perfect but I think it came out ok. Probably could have came out better but the striper polishes tend to thicken up pretty quickly & I was too impatient to close them & shake them up for a bit to thin them out between each nail use. Sometimes now when I use striper polishes I add a little acetone polish remover to the bottle & shake it up so that the polish will stay thinner for a longer amount of time, it seems to help.      Also, off subject, but I just wanted to take the time to say my prayers go out to Japan & the victims ...

Hey guys! This is a mani I did for a contest I entered a couple weeks ago. The challenge was to create a nail design using a strange or unusual stamping plate image. I thought that was a really good & unique contest idea and it was also a great excuse for me to use a plate image I normally wouldn't use. I chose to do a design featuring the octopus image off of chez-delaney's H19 plate.
