Hey guys! Today is quick post to share with you this design I did. For the middle, ring & thumb nails I did an easy sponge gradient and stamped with Bundle Monster plate BM-208 to give it a stained glass effect. For the solid nails I used a tear drop nail art stud from a nail art stud wheel I got from Born Pretty Store . The wheel includes a variety of shapes including hearts, stars, leaf shaped, tear drops, textured squares, and textured circles in both silver and gold. These studs are easy to apply & the variety of shapes is so convenient for doing different nail art designs. I chose the teardrop stud for this design because I thought it looked nice with the design and also because I have never used teardrop studs on any of my designs before so I wanted to switch it up a little, lol. Hey everyone! A couple weeks ago I showed you a design I entered in Rite Aid Nails Extravaganza Nail Art Contest. Well I have exciting news to share with you today, I made it into the Finals!!! Yey! There were over 900 entries & now it's down to just 20 Finalists for the grand prize! I still can't believe it! Last week they sent me a nail kit to create a brand new design from to compete against the 19 other finalists! This is the design I came up with! I hope you like! I hand painted this using nail polishes from the kit they sent me. First I created some ombre french tips & then hand painted some flowers along with a tribal pattern. This is the first time I hand painted flowers so I hope you like.There wasn't much time given to do the design either so I did what I could do with what I had & in the time given, now I'm praying it's a winner! Hey guys! This is just a quick post to show you this super easy ombre gradient mani I did. I apologize because it looks little messy right now because I didn't clean the excess polish off the sides of my nails & off my cuticles yet because I was going to do a nail design over this & I like to clean them at the very end when my mani is complete. Hey guys! I'm back! Hope all is well with you. I am so behind with my posts but hoping to get them all out soon! ...So ombre nails have become sooo popular that I decided to do a video tutorial showing how to do a simple ombre gradient using a makeup sponge & 2 polish colors. I first painted my nails white & let dry, but that's an optional step. I just think the colors show up better over a white base but you can experiment with different base colors or just apply a clear base. I then sponged on my gradient using two polish colors, teal & pink. You can experiment with different color combinations of your choice or choose a light & dark shade in the same color family to create a nice gradient effect. You can also choose more than 2 colors if you'd like, there's tons of possibilities! There are also several techniques for producing ombre nails, I will be posting another ombre tutorial soon where I will only be sponging one...

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I did a post, been a little busy, hope all is well with everyone. For this design I did a gradient effect by first patting on a white polish base with an eyeshadow sponge applicator. (The sponge applicator really helps to create a nice gradient effect; it's an easy way to fade colors into one another to create an almost airbrushed look. A makeup sponge could also be used.) I then patted on silver polish diagonally across the nail with the sponge & then patted on pink polish diagonally, going the opposite direction as the silver so that the silver & pink criss-cross each other right at the center of the nail. (It's ok if some of the white base shows, it adds to the effect.) Then I took a very light glittery silver shade & patted a very small amount right in the center of the nail where the silver & pink polishes meet to create a more blended & highlighted effect.     Hey guys! Welcome to my new & improved page! I finally stopped procastinating and gave My Pretty Nailz a makeover!!! Do you likey? Hope so!!!     Now on to the nails! For this next design I wanted to create somewhat of an airbrushed look, with one color gradually fading into another. To do this I used eyeshadow sponge applicators to make a nice gradient effect. First I applied some white polish to a clean applicator and simply patted the color on to my entire nail. I did this to each nail. Then I took my blue polish (the colors I used are listed below) and applied some to the applicator and patted it in a diagonal line across my nail starting from the lower corner going across to the opposite upper corner. (It doesn't have to be perfect) Then I took my pink polish & patted it on just as I did the blue except I had the pink going in the opposite direction as the blue so the colors...

Hey guys! Here's my very glittery ombre konadicure! I used a pink chrome shade as a base color, then I added my glitter polishes, fading out from a silver glitter polish to a pink glitter polish & then konaded on my design. Hey guys! This is an older design I did. For the base I did a gradient effect using an eyeshadow applicator & sponging from light to dark purple. I used a light, medium & dark purple to create the fade effect, but I can't remember which exact polishes I used for this, sorry. I do know they weren't opaque, they were all shimmery polishes. After the base dried I konaded on my white flowers. I think this design would be cuter with some clear rhinestones added to the center of the flowers, not sure why I didn't do that, I'm guessing I didn't have my rhinestone wheel at the time I did these.
