Electric Lightning Nails with Hand Painted One Stroke Flowers and Video Tutorial

Hey guys! I hope all is well! Today I am sharing with you this design I did combining nail art stamping with hand painted flowers. This is the first time I attempted to do one stroke acrylic paint flowers. I am new to doing nail art with acrylic paints & am hoping with practice I will get better, but I think they came out ok for it being my first time doing the one stroke technique. I used Del Sol color changing nail polish for the base, alternating between the colors Electrick & Superhero. Both are a metallic-like blue inside, but in the sunlight Electrick turns to a greenish hue while Superhero turns to a purple hue. The first pic is inside & the second is outside in sunlight although they didn't photograph well outside but you get the idea, lol. I did a video tutorial for this look so please check it out & subscribe to my youtube channel if you haven't already! Thanks & God bless! : )

Pretty Leadlight Spring Flowers with Color Changing Polish Nail Art Design and Video Tutorial

Hey guys! In my last post I shared with you my quick tutorial for leadlight stamping and how to make your own leadlight nail polish! Today I wanted to share with you pictures of the complete nail art design I did using that technique aswell as a full tutorial on how to achieve this nail art look! I am really happy with the way these came out, especially because I had a huge creative block the day I did these. I really wanted this to be a fun design so I used Del Sol color changing nail polish for my index & pinky nails; indoors they are pink and in the sunlight they turn purple! A fun look for Spring & Summer! I hope you like! : )

Leadlight Stamping Technique Tutorial and How to Make Your Own Lead Light Jelly Nail Polish DIY Video Tutorial! Quick & Easy!

Hey everyone! There's a new technique sweeping the nail stamping world, leadlight stamping! It's probably easier for me to show (check the tutorial below) then to put into words, lol, but let me try anyway: It's basically a technique that uses tinted or jelly nail polish to color in the stamped pattern/image on your nail. For example in the design I did below, I painted a white base, then stamped the flower pattern with black stamping polish & then colored in the flowers with jelly polish. Much quicker than creating decals, which I never tried cause I just don't have the patience, lol...I first heard about it in the facebook group Adventures in Stamping! Messy Mansion as a tutorial for it & their own line of leadlight polishes! You can also do this technique with pretty much any jelly polish or you can create your own! I decided to do a tutorial for this technique because as you know I love doing nail art tutorials and because there aren't many tutorials for this yet. Plus I am going to show you how to do this technique making your own jelly polishes! All you need is some pigmented nail polish and clear polish, mix together so that the color is sheer enough that it won't overpower your dark image border (a good ratio is 75% clear polish to 25% pigmented polish, depending on the opacity of the polish you choose). You can just play around with it until you get it to the proper transparency. I took a black nail art marker & drew some lines on a piece of paper & when I was making my jellies I would just test them by painting them over the black lines. If I could still see the black lines then they were good to go, if the color covered the black then they weren't transparent enough & I would just add some more clear polish. You can also practice over your nails or use practice nails. And if you would like the colors on your nail to be more pigmented, you can always paint on a second coat when they dry. I colored in my flowers using a dotting tool, but you can also use a nail art brush or a toothpick, whatever you are comfortable with. You can even add colors to create shading effects, but I just kept things simple for this tutorial. Also, after you first stamp your nails I suggest applying a top coat BEFORE you apply your leadlight polish. The reason is because if you don't apply a top coat first, you run the risk of your leadlight polish smearing or mixing with your black image border (it happened to me, lol). What do you guys think of this technique? Have you tried it yet?

Color Changing Snoopy Nail Art and Video Tutorial - Born Pretty Store Review

Hey everyone! I hope all is well! Today I am sharing with you a fun design I did using stamping plates from Born Pretty Store! I'm sure most of us have a favorite childhood cartoon and/or favorite childhood toy that brings us warm childhood memories when we think about it. Well for me, that's Snoopy!!! I always loved Snoopy and when I was little I had a stuffed Snoopy dog that I would carry around everywhere, lol. I actually still have him to this day although he's all beat up now but I can't bring myself to ever throw him away, he's very sentimental to me. So that being said, I had to do some Snoopy nails! I got this Snoopy stamping plate from Born Pretty Store along with the other plate I used for this design, which happens to be a Winnie the Pooh plate (another one of my childhood faves). I have tried several BPS octagon stamping plates & they all stamp very well & they are very inexpensive, plus free shipping worldwide! I suggest checking out Born Pretty Store if you are looking for inexpensive nail art supplies, they sell lots of other stuff aswell! The direct link to the plate I used is below! ...I wanted this design to be really fun so I used Del Sol color changing nail polish for this design. I also have an alternate version to this design to which I changed the middle finger nails, wasn't sure which version I liked better so I just decided to include both of them in my blog post & video tutorial! Let me know in the comments which version you prefer! And check out the video tutorial below and please like, share & subscribe to my youtube channel if you haven't already, it really helps me out! Thanks & God bless! : )
