Five Below Polish Haul - Funky Fingers. Fresh Paint & Salon Express

Hey everyone! So I had put myself on a "no buy" for nail polishes, but recently I saw some cool nail polishes from Five Below that I just had to check out! I was trying to resist but I had gotten some good news recently so I was encouraged to celebrate so I headed on over to Five Below & picked me up some new polishes! I know I was supposed to be on a "no buy" BUT since I'm celebrating this doesn't really count, right? Lol...Anyways, I was really looking for Ruby Wings Color Changing Polish but my Five Below didn't have any!!! But I still managed to get my nail polish fix, lol. I know Fall is here (waah, I don't want Summer to go) but bright colors were still calling my name as you can see! I picked up a few bright Fresh Paint polishes (3 for $5!) and 2 Funky Fingers Polishes (one of which is solar changing polish). I have never tried Fresh Paints before but the polishes look beautiful & I can't wait to try them! I also got a Salon Express Nail Art Stamping Polish Set, I never tried their stamping polishes before but the set was only $2 and includes 2 Stamping Polishes (one white, one black) so I couldn't resist! All together my order came out to less than $13, not bad! Have you tried any of these polishes, which is your favorite?

New Sally Hansen Sugar Coats Swatches and Review

Hey everyone! Since textured polish seems to be all the rage lately, I decided to review some Sally Hansen Sugar Coats for you today! These polishes apply like regular polish but leave you with a textured sandy like finish. According to Sally Hansen, these polishes are "Candy for your nails!" They are a special effect nail polish that leave you with a sugary 3D effect. I actually liked them more than I thought I would. I was afraid they would just look like I applied old clumpy thick nail polish, lol, but they're not like that at all. I have two to show you today, one matte and one shimmer, so that you can see the difference in finishes.

First up is Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Sour Apple: This is a minty green cream shade with a textured matte finish. It took 2 coats to make opaque. It's a lovely shade & the textured effect does not go unnoticed.

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Royal Icing: This is a sheer sky blue shade with a very shimmery textured finish. I love the pearlescent sparkle that this polish radiates & the textured effect adds another dimension to it's glittery appearance. The downside is it takes over 4 coats to make opaque. I suggest layering this shade over a colored base for a gorgeous effect. In my swatches I used a matching sky blue polish first over my index, middle & ring nails & then applied 2 coats of Royal Icing over it. For my pinky nail I only applied Royal Icing, 4 coats, so you can see the difference. I prefer how it looks over a polished base and I actually like that it's sheer because I can use it as a shimmery textured "topcoat" to layer over other polishes, it's pretty cool!

Overall I am pleased with these polishes! They are easy to apply, dry quickly and give off a beautiful texture. They come from a trusted brand, Sally Hansen, and you can usually find them at drugstores such as Walgreens, CVS, Walmart and more. I will warn you, they are a little difficult to remove, kind of like glitter polish. I usually prefer to remove my nail polish with non acetone polish remover but for these polishes I had to use acetone polish remover. And which is your favorite?

New Sally Hansen 2013 Fall Insta-Dri Swatches, Review, Nail Art Design and Tutorial! - fall nail art, fall nails, autumn nail art, autumn nails, autumn manicure, beautiful nail art, fall nail stamping design, blue and gold nail art, elegant nail art, nail stamping tutorial, diy nail art, easy nail art, konad nail art

Hey everyone! Autumn is in the air and did you know that Sally Hansen has come out with a new Fall 2013 Inst-Dri Collection!?! I was so excited to hear this as I love the Insta-Dri line because they have a great formula, they're quick drying and the majority of them work wonderful with nail stamping! I was very curious to check out these new shades and also see how well they work with nail stamping so I have two that I will be reviewing for you today, Quick Jeanius & Chop Chop Copper. The new line uses the same flat style brush as the regular Insta-Dris which makes for an easy, smooth application, but you may need to wipe the brush before application as it does tend to pick up a lot of polish. Also, just like the main collection, these polishes are the Big 5 Free (DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor). They come in the same triangular shaped bottles as the original Insta-Dris and you can find them at drugstores such as Walgreens and CVS, though I believe these are only Limited Edition so I suggest you hurry if you're interesting in getting them!

Quick Jeanius - This is a shimmery deep navy blue, very rich in color! It was opaque in just one coat and took about a minute to dry! And when it comes to nail stamping, this polish did not disappoint! It is perfect for nail art stamping as you can see in the featured nail art design!

Chop Chop Copper - The is a beautiful copper shade with tons of shimmer. It's fine micro glittery finish emits tons of sparkle. Unlike Quick Jeanius & many of the other Sally Hansen Insta-Dris, this polish applies somewhat sheer and took about 3-4 coats to make opaque. This is a great shade for autumn but for all my stamping addicts out there, this is not one to stamp with.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Chop Chop Copper
This is the entire 2013 Fall Collection. Although I only have the two right now, I hope to get more to show you because it is a beautiful collection and seeing Quick Jeanius's stamping abilities make me curious about the rest of the line!

Here is a design I did featuring both Quick Jeanius and Chop Chop Copper! As you can see, the shades work very well together & the rich sparkling foil like shades have Autumn written all over them! I stamped my middle and ring nails using Quick Jeanius and as you can see it stamps beautifully! SIMPLE PINK PATTERNED FRENCH TIPS AND VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hey everyone & welcome to my new followers! Today I would like to share with you this simple french tip stamping design I did. I used a full nail image pattern for the tips, which is normally what I use as opposed to the french tip image patterns because they are usually too small for my nail tips and you can see just how I did this in the quick video tutorial I put together below. I hope you like & please subscribe to my youtube channel if you haven't already! : )
